It's been a long journey from North Carolina to Boston ... recovering from the job hunt and dental school initiation, learning to live without the Camry and Grand Cherokee, facing the below 0 winter nights, coping with big-city loneliness (and quickly finding a remedy to this loneliness through the companionship of the infamous long-haired chihuahua, Gus), working hard and studying hard, accepting the native Bostonian's need to beep their car horn at least 5 times a minute, celebrating the marriage of our friends Josh and Stephie-the engagement of Brett and Jenna-the high school graduation of Crystal's brother Garrett-the 1 year birthday of the cutest niece ever (Miss Lydia Elizabeth West)-and the continued health of all our family, learning to sleep in a 5 1/2 foot lofted queen sized bed and live in a 340 sq. foot condo, enjoying the beauty of Boston in the summer-yet missing the close family and friends in North Carolina ...

It HAS been quite a long journey for Jeffrey and Crystal West, and keeping up this blog is going to be our attempt to keep in touch with those of you who actually care that Jeffrey chose to make some extra cash this summer by selling other people's trash (feel free to probe Jeffrey about this story).
